MCC Libraries Hosts Workshop on Effective Search Strategies - Today at Noon
Just a quick reminder—today at noon, MCC Libraries is hosting a Research Essentials workshop on Finding Sources: How to Search Effectively. This 50-minute session is ideal for students looking to build confidence in their research process. They’ll learn how to use library databases, select effective keywords, and apply filters to quickly find credible sources—making research easier and more efficient.
Workshop Details:
- Date & Time: Wednesday, October 30, 12:00 to 12:50 p.m.
- Location: LeRoy V. Good Library (Brighton Campus), Room 423, or join via Zoom
Encourage your students to attend, whether for extra credit or to enhance their research skills. Plus, one-on-one research help is always available for additional support—students can drop by the Brighton Campus Library or the Downtown Campus Learning Commons, or schedule a research help appointment with a librarian.
If you'd like to bring these skills directly to your class, we can customize the workshop to fit your course needs. Just fill out our online request form or email the MCC Libraries (libraries@monroecc.edu).
Supporting your students in developing these essential skills can make a real impact on their academic success!
