Fall Sports Teams Making Their Mark

MCC Fall athletic teams have had a tremendous amount of success! Below are a few highlights from our fall teams:

Women's Soccer
The Women’s Soccer team secured the No. 1 seed for their upcoming district playoff tournament with an impressive 10-1-1 record. Ranked 12th nationally in Division I women’s soccer, the Tribunes await the winner of Monroe University/Harcum for a home game at MCC. Join us in supporting them on either Monday, November 4th, at 6:30 pm or Tuesday, November 5th, at 6 pm! Date and time will be confirmed on Sunday, November 3rd.

Women's Volleyball
The Tribunes Volleyball team claimed victory over Onondaga 3-2 on Tuesday in the Region III Sub-regional, advancing to the Region III championship tournament. This marks the first time since 2021 that our team has made it to the championship tournament, set to take place this weekend at Niagara County Community College.

Cross Country
In their inaugural season, the Cross Country team competed at the NJCAA Region III Championships at Herkimer last Saturday. The team finished 6th overall, with standout performances by Kyle DeRomanis (Churchville, NY), who placed 7th with a time of 30:18.4, and freshman Benjamin Brundage (Hamlin, NY), who finished 13th at 32:30.5. Due to his impressive results, DeRomanis earned NJCAA Region III All-Region and WNYAC All-Conference honors. Both Kyle DeRomanis and Benjamin Brundage have qualifed for the NJCAA National Cross Country and Half Marathon Meet on November 9 and 12 in Richmond, VA.

Men's Soccer
Men's Soccer concluded their season with a strong 9-6-1 record, finishing as finalists in the Northeast District playoffs. They achieved the notable feat of being ranked in the Top 20 for seven consecutive weeks—a remarkable streak in men’s soccer history.

Congratulations to our student-athletes and coaches for their dedication and accomplishments this season. Let’s keep showing our support for the Tribunes! You can always get the most up-to-date news at www.mcctribunes.com
