April is Financial Literacy Month - Let's Grow Your Financial Goals!

April is nationally recognized as Financial Literacy Month, and the Financial Aid Office is celebrating all month long with events and workshops to help you take control of your financial future!

Stop by our “Money Tree” in the Financial Aid Office! Students are invited to write down a financial goal—big or small—and hang it on the tree. Whether you’re saving up for something important, trying to build your credit, or learning how to budget, your goal matters. Let’s inspire each other to grow!

Join us for our weekly Zoom workshops! Each session will focus on an essential area of financial literacy and is open to all students:

  • Week 1: Level Up Your Credit Game
Learn how credit works, why it matters, and how to start building or improving your credit the smart way.
  • Week 2: Budgeting 101 for College Students
Discover practical tips and tools to manage your money, track your spending, and create a realistic budget.
  • Week 3: Maximizing Your Post-Graduate Career: Student Loans & Career Selection Overview
Explore how your career choices can impact your student loan repayment and learn strategies for managing debt after graduation.
  • Week 4: Introduction to Investing
Get the basics on investing, including how to start, different types of investments, and how to make your money work for you.

Let’s make April the month we grow our financial confidence—one goal at a time! Stay tuned for Zoom links and reminders each week.
