The Sixth Act is proud to participate in the National Jewish Theater Foundation - Holocaust Theater International Initiative - Remembrance Readings 2017. NJTF HTII at UM Miller Center Remembrance Readings is composed of simultaneous events drawing upon the power of Theater to honor Holocaust victims and survivors.
The event will take place at noon on Monday, April 24, in the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Forum (3-130) and is produced in collaboration with MCC’s Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project. It will feature a scene from C.P. Taylor’s play Good, followed by a facilitated talkback. Faculty curriculum packets are available by contacting Professor Maria Brandt (mbrandt@monroecc.edu <
mailto:mbrandt@monroecc.edu> ). We know this effort will stimulate an appreciation of how the Art of Theater can and must be used as a tool to deepen the understanding of the Holocaust and its lessons in contemporary society. A flyer for this event is attached.
