Joshua Davis, Author of Spare Parts, to Visit MCC


Joshua Davis, American writer, film producer and co-founder of Epic Magazine, is coming to MCC. Davis is best known for writing a number of non-fiction pieces that have been optioned for film and television.

In 2014, Farrar Strauss Giroux published his third book, Spare Parts <https://www.amazon.com/Spare-Parts-Undocumented-Teenagers-American/dp/0374534985> , a chronicle of the triumph of a small robotics team. The book was named one of the best new books by Amazon and the BBC. The film version was released by Lionsgate in 2015 and stars George Lopez, Carlos Pena, Marisa Tomei, and Jamie Lee Curits.

Davis is a contributing editor at Wired magazine. His work has been anthologized in the 2006 and 2007 editions of "The Best of Technology Writing, as well as the 2007 edition of "The Best American Science Writing.  He has also written for The New Yorker and other major magazines.
