Election Workshops

It’s time for Student Government Association (SGA) Elections! We invite you to attend Student Government Workshops to learn how to apply to be on Student Government. To run for a SGA position, you must attend one election workshop:
- Register to attend a workshop.
- Apply for an SGA Officer position
- Apply for an SGA Student Trustee position
- Visit SGA Election Resources | Student Government Association
Glory to Ukraine, Glory to the Heroes!
- Wednesday, March 12th, 12pm to 1:30pm, Brighton Campus Building 3, Room 130
Campus Activities Board’s Peace Committee presents Glory to Ukraine, Glory to the Heroes! Learn about the history and context of the war, culturally significant symbolism, celebrating Ukraine's efforts of Russian Independence, and providing resources that you can readily use to help Ukrainians. There will be a donation box, which will be sent to Ukraine from RocMaidan.
Women’s Wellness Drive
- The whole month of March! 8:45am to 4:45pm, Brighton Campus Building 3, Room 126 & Room 125. Downtown Campus, Suite 310 and Room 216
Stop by to donate a variety of goods and resources for Women’s History Month! Items such as nonperishable foods, menstrual hygiene products, toiletries, and foods for expecting mothers.
Instrumental and Vocal Concert
- Wednesday, March 12th, 7:30pm, Brighton Campus MCC Theatre, Robin and Tim Wentworth Arts Building, Building 4
Creative Arts presents an Instrumental and Vocal concert! Come listen to the amazing tunes they will be creating!
Student Government Association Snack and Chat
- Thursday March 13th, 12pm to 1pm, Brighton Campus Building 3 Terrace
An opportunity to grab some grub while meeting with your student government representatives to discuss upcoming events, ideas, and all things MCC!
Engineering Leadership Council (ELC): Come Build a Musical Robot
- Saturdays Starting 3/1/25 at 10am, Brighton Campus, Building 3, Room 132
An ELC Semester Project! Join the ELC to build a musical robot
Other News:
- Tax Help on Campus: The Department of Taxation and Finance will be on campus to help students get in person tax help and file for free. Help will be available Monday 3/10 on Brighton campus building 11-101. Students must pre-register for a tax help appointment.
- Travel Club: On Monday and Tuesday of next week, Travel Club will be sponsoring a local vendor who will be selling different goods and items on the Brighton Campus in the Terrace. Make sure to check it out!
- DHS on Campus: Monroe County Department of Hyman Services will be on the Campus Downtown (2nd Floor) Wednesday March 12th from 10 am to 1pm. The DHS staff will be providing information on SNAP, HEAP, safe sleep, child support, and many other resources. Stop by if you need support or have any questions.
