Farewell to Lt. Stan Knutowicz

After sixteen years at MCC, Stan Knutowicz has decided to leave upstate New York and pursue a new career in the sunny state of Florida at Walt Disney World!

Stan began his illustrious career in the Department of Public Safety as a Security Guard in 2001 and became a Public Safety Officer in 2003. He transitioned to Peace Officer in 2009 and was promoted to Sergeant in 2010. Stan spent much of the 2016/2017 academic year working from the Damon City Campus, assisting with the transition to the new Downtown Campus, and was recently promoted provisionally to the rank of Lieutenant.

Stan performed as a CSEA Vice President for ten years, provided instruction to fellow officers and police recruits as a Field Training Officer/Coordinator and a General Topics/Firearms/Baton/OC Instructor, and served on several College committees and councils while enjoying his passion for Fleet Management.
