VPN Access

Following recent upgrades to the MCC firewalls, some users have had issues accessing VPN. If, after reading the following information, you require VPN due to a need for remote desktop access to your office PC, please contact Technology Support at 292-TECH (8324) for assistance.

Please note that simply accessing email or the M: Drive no longer requires VPN access for a secure remote connection.

  • Current E-mail clients (Outlook, iPhone, Android etc.) securely connect without requiring a VPN connection. You may also securely access your MCC E-mail by going to

  • M: Drive files can be accessed without using a VPN connection through the Acronis secure web portal or app for portable devices. Acronis can be accessed by going to

Only users that need to "remote desktop" into their office PC's require a VPN connection to access campus data resources.

Note: VPN is a Virtual Private Network, for which MCC uses AnyConnect software.
