Visiting Poet: Jessica Cuello

  • Monday, May 5th, 11am to 11:50am, Brighton Campus Building 9, Room 256

Poetry Workshop with Jessica Cuello! Jessica Cuello's newest book, Feral, is forthcoming from JackLeg Press in 2027. She is also the author of Yours, Creature (JackLeg Press, 2023) and Liar, selected by Dorianne Laux for the 2020 Barrow Street Book Prize. Cuello is the recipient of a 2023 NYSCA Artist Grant and is poetry editor at Tahoma Literary Review. She teaches French in Central NY.

Passing the Tassel

Join SGA in a celebration of the graduates of now and tomorrow! All are welcome! There will be cake, giveaways, and vision board making followed by an event for the graduating students to pick up their cap and gowns and enjoy a fair of additional activities from 1pm-3pm in High Falls A/B.

Intro to Game Development with Wick Editor

Join the ICT Club to learn how to bring your game ideas to life in thie beginner-friendly workshop. A fellow student will guide participants through the basics of using Wick Editor - an easy-to-use web-based tool for creating games, animations, and interactive media. Perfect for aspiring developers, artists, and storytellers! No experience needed, all majors welcome. Bring your creativity and laptop!

Graduation Celebration

  • Monday, May 5th, 1pm to 3pm, Downtown Campus High Falls A/B

Calling all graduates! Pick up your cap and gown and enjoy cap decorating, vision board making, photo opportunities, giveaways, therapy dogs, Tiberius, food, and you will have the chance to win a diploma frame. It’s time to celebrate all of your hard work!

Tabletop Star Wars Watch Party

  • Monday, May 5th, 2pm to 5pm, Brighton Campus Forum, Building 3, Room 130

Revenge of the fifth! A showing of Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Costumes encouraged but not required. Bring your own snacks!

Spring Fling!

  • Wednesday, May 7th, 11am to 3pm, Brighton Campus, Parking Lot F

Come celebrate the closing of the Spring semester with live music, food trucks, inflatables, arts & crafts, tie-dyeing, and more! Come as you are – unmask yourself!

MSA Spring Tea Party

  • Friday, May 9th, 5pm to 8pm, Brighton Campus, Monroe A/B

Join the Muslim Student Association (MSA) to enjoy cultural tea, desserts, and a fun game of Jeopardy! Prayer is included, and this event is open to everyone.

Other News:

  • Robotics Club: On Tuesday, May 6th, the Robotics Club will be sponsoring a local vendor who will be selling different goods and items on the Brighton Campus in the Terrace. Make sure to check it out!
