Introducing MCC Model United Nation Program for 2024
Model United Nations Program and Simulation
Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational simulation and/or academic competition in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. It is also a 4- credit honors class.
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Debate and tackle global issues.
- Improve your oratory & negotiation skills.
- Learn about the inner workings of the UN.
- Represent Monroe Community College at largest simulation conference in the world in New York City at the real United Nations with over 5,000 students from all over the world
- Earn 4 honors credits & travel is covered by the college
- Make friends from all around the world !
This course starts in the Spring but students must register and be selected to be in the program in the fall. You will find this program unique (not like regular classes).
Want to know more about Model UN please attend one of the informational sessions listed below and you can pick up a brochure around campus or at the PRISM Center. The informational sessions are held in the PRISM Multicultural Center Building 1, Room 108.

- Wednesday, October 2, 12:00 to1:00pm
- Wednesday, October 2, 4:00 to 5:00pm
- Monday, October 7, 12:00 to 1:00pm
- Tuesday, October 8, 12:30 to 1:30pm
- Wednesday, October 9, 3:00 to 4:00pm
- Thursday, 0ctober 10, 3:00 to 4:00pm
