A Talk Today on Shirley Chisolm
In 1968 Shirley Chisolm was the first African-American woman elected to the House of Representatives. In 1972 she was the first African-American woman to run for President. Chisolm was also involved in the Black Power Movement and the Women's Liberation Movement.
