Student Success Support Strategies supported by Civitas Information Session

The DIAL Working Group invites the college community to attend an informational workshop to learn more about Student Success Support Strategies supported by Civitas. The first session this semester will be an opportunity to highlight the tools and the sample work that is currently in progress.

Civitas, DIAL Working Group, Big data, Predictive Analytics....what does all this mean and why has MCC engaged in this movement?

The DIAL Working Group is comprised of faculty, staff and administrators who have been trained on predictive analytics and Civitas tools to connect the identified data to our students and our strategies.
The group has been meeting monthly since January 2017 to learn how to use Illume Student to identify groups of students who may be at risk and identify strategies to increase persistence.

Please join us for an information session and light lunch.

Monday, November 13th from 12 pm - 1:00 pm Downtown Campus High Falls A

Monday, November 27th from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm Monroe B

Additionally, we will review Schedule Planner. Probably the most well-known Civitas tool here at MCC, Schedule Planner allows students to search for courses based on their personal schedule and preferences. Schedule Planner is connected to our master schedule and provides students options of the different course schedules they can choose from.

The DIAL Working Group will provide weekly updates through the Daily Tribune to give the campus community updates on the various tools available to the college.
