TODAY: Police Community Relations Forum

The Criminal Justice Department in conjunction with the Criminal Justice Club, Irondequoit Police Department and Rochester Police Department will be hosting a Police Community Relations Forum on Monday, December 3rd and Wednesday, December 5th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Chief Richard Tantalo of the Irondequoit Police Department and Deputy Chief LaRon Singletary of the Rochester Police Department will be discussing the report concerning the President's Task Force on 21st Century Policing which was issued in May 2015. This report promotes six pillars or strategies which are designed to help bridge the Police-Community divide the nation is currently experiencing.
Chief Tantalo is seeking feedback from MCC students during each session which can be used to develop new approaches that local police departments can implement to better serve and understand their communities. We invite all students at MCC to attend and participate in one of these important forums. Your ideas and contributions will provide local law enforcement agencies valuable insight to help promote a better police-community relationship.
