Mindful Monday Event

Today’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Month is "Mindful Monday". Practicing mindfulness can significantly support mental health by helping individuals stay present, reduce stress, and manage overwhelming thoughts. Regular mindfulness practice has been shown to lower anxiety, improve mood, and increase emotional resilience, making it a powerful tool for overall mental well-being. The Counseling, Disability and Health Services Department will be offering a series of events and activities today that can help students learn ways of practicing mindfulness and its benefits. Please see below for today’s offerings:

  • 9am to 11am
    • Location: Counseling & Disability Office, room 3-103
    • Grab & Go breakfast, mindfulness materials, activities and chat with a mental health counselor
  • 11am to 12pm
    • Mindful Meditation
    • Free food vouchers for all student attendees 
    • Location: Dance Studio, room 10-143
  • 12pm to 1pm
    • Parent Support Group with mindfulness activities
    • Location: Counseling & Disability Office, room 3-103
