Reminder: Karen Morris' Legacy Lecture Today

Reminder! Karen Morris’ Legacy Lecture will be hosted today, Thursday May 22nd at 12PM in the Forum.

The intent of the Carmen Powers Legacy Lecture Series is to share and preserve MCC’s collective professional and institutional wisdom. Individuals selected for this prestigious opportunity have had a long and distinguished career at MCC, is an outstanding teacher, mentor, advisor, leader to peers and students, and has a meaningful message to share with the College that will enrich the lives and work of MCC faculty, staff and students.

Professor Karen Morris retired in December 2024 after teaching for 45 years in the Business Administration Department. She was the first community college professor to be awarded the title of Distinguished Professor by SUNY and won the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Karen also served as a Brighton Town Judge for 29 years and was awarded the Humanitarian Award by the Monroe County Bar Association
