De-escalation - Helping Diffuse Tense Situations in Professional Settings

Chief Stephen Wise, Public Safety is offering a presentation on de-escalation – helping diffuse tense situations in professional settings. This is for anyone who may encounter upset individuals. Attendees will learn what to say, what not to say, and what to keep in mind for your safety.  Chief Wise draws on 35 years of experience as a Police Officer, as an FBI-trained Hostage Negotiator (and the father of 3 boys) to help guide the discussion.

A presentation is being offered at the Brighton and Downtown campuses. Please join us on September 18, 11am to 12pm, Empire Room at the Brighton Campus OR September 26, 2 to 3pm, DC400 at the Downtown Campus.

A recording of the presentation will be made available for those who are unable to attend.

Hosted by the Support Staff Planning Council.
