Change In Applicant Tracking System
In an effort to streamline and improve the hiring process, Human Resources conducted an RFP for talent management software systems that would improve upon the PeopleAdmin product. One of our goals was to automate the requisition-to-hire process for the College. Other criteria that we applied when reviewing proposals included: customizable, user-friendly, intuitive, feature-rich, ad-hoc reporting, affordable, and exceptional customer support. We received several responses to our RFP and, after careful review, we selected Hirezon/Interview Exchange. We believe we have found a system that meets all of the criteria and more! Hirezon has been serving higher education clients exclusively for over 15 years. Their products are used by many two-year and four-year public and private institutions and are currently in 20+ SUNY institutions. You may visit their website at www.hirezon.com.
This applicant tracking system will replace PeopleAdmin at the end of August. Some of the first changes users will see is single sign-on access and the automation of the position approval request process. Additionally, every user has access to an on-line user manual that provides easy to follow, step-by-step instructions and screen shots for every capability available in the system.
In addition to using Hirezon/Interview Exchange in the hiring process, we will also be using it to automate the onboarding process of new hires. The new system will allow us to create and email electronic Welcome Packets to new hires, giving new employees the ability to receive and complete their required paperwork on-line at their convenience.
Users will be receiving a system generated email to set up their user profile. Human Resources will be in contact with the College community regarding how to set up a user account and with training opportunities.
