Attendance due by February 11th

Attendance is due February 11th for Spring 2025 full-term courses.

Note: This is a separate process from weekly Starfish attendance, and is used in reporting for Financial Aid purposes.

Important Student Non-Attendance Entry Information

Please wait to enter the ‘never attended’ code of ‘0’ until February 11th. Entering this code before February 11th will trigger a drop for non-attendance, but students have the right to demonstrate their attendance/participation through the census date which is not the case if the ‘0’ code is entered early. Note: The code must be entered before the Financial Aid freeze date of February 13th. Thank you for your cooperation in meeting this tight time frame!

If the student has attended you can enter a 1 before February 11th.

How To Enter Attendance:

1. Log into the myMCC portal.
2. Click on the Banner tile.
3. Click on the Faculty Services tile.
4. Under Rosters, click on the Grade Entry link.
5. Double-click on the white space in the line of the class for which you wish to enter attendance.
6. Enter a 0 if the student has never attended, or a 1 if the student has attended, in the Hours Attended column for each student. (Please Do Not enter a last date of attendance!)
7. Click Save at the bottom of the form.

Important Note About Preferred Names:

Please do not mistakenly drop a student for non-attendance due to the discrepancy between their legal name and preferred name. The legal name will be listed in Banner when you enter attendance and grades. You may have only seen a student’s preferred name used on other rosters and the student’s email, so please be sure to compare the last names and M#s listed in Banner to your other rosters when entering attendance.
