Annual Gold Star Gala Offers "Social Club" Atmosphere with a Modern Twist!

The college family is invited to attend the Monroe Community College Foundation’s 10th Annual Gold Star Gala, An Evening at the Starlight Social Club presented by M&T Bank. The gala will be held Saturday evening, May 17, at the Country Club of Rochester, 2935 East Ave. Tickets to this annual “friend raiser” are $200 per person and are available by contacting the MCC Foundation <mailto:mccf@monroecc.edu> or 262.1500.

From the authentic Cuban cuisine to the sizzling sounds of Latin music performed by Nik and the Nice Guys, guests of this year’s gala will step back in time and experience Havana’s High Society! The gala will feature authentic Cuban cuisine and classic mojitos. In keeping with tradition, the array of silent auction items will include fine costume jewelry, cigars, unique children’s’ gifts and items to pamper you or someone you love. Auctioneer Howie Jacobson (Dixon Schwabl) will return to lead the exciting live auction featuring exclusive excursions, dinners and fashion packages. The evening’s ultimate reward will be in awarding beneficial scholarships generated that evening to MCC students!

MCC Foundation Directors and Gala Chairs Kathleen E. Pavelka ’79, Telecomp, Inc., and James J. Ward, Bausch & Lomb (retired), look forward to welcoming you to this year’s gala and for making dreams come true for MCC students. Get your tickets today and mambo under the stars with friends of the MCC Foundation on May 17.
