Now Available! Bring Tutoring and Academic Assistance Center (TAAC) Workshops to the Classroom

The Tutoring and Academic Assistance Center (TAAC) is now providing free interactive workshops to the classroom. Faculty will be able to book an Academic Coach or Writing Consultant to lead students through one of our many skill-focused workshops listed below. All workshops incorporate interactive activities and/or supplementary handouts and resources for students to utilize throughout the semester.

  • Using a Planner
  • Note-Taking Strategies
  • Getting the Most Out of a Textbook
  • Test Taking Strategies and Test Anxiety

Writing Consultant Workshops:

  • What is Writing Anxiety?
  • Planning out the Writing Process
  • Engaging in the Writing Process: Drafting a Research Paper
  • The Anatomy of a Paper: Essay Structure
  • Checking for Truth in Information
  • Avoiding Plagiarism: Paraphrasing, Quoting, and Citing your Research
