Marv Levy to Speak at Salute to Excellence Dinner

Buffalo Bills General Manager Marv Levy will serve as keynote speaker at the Monroe Community College Foundation’s 17th annual Salute to Excellence dinner, Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Levy is ranked as the 13th all-time winningest coach in NFL history. His career includes leading the Buffalo Bills to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances, four AFC titles and six AFC East crowns.

The Salute to Excellence dinner brings community leaders and educators together to celebrate philanthropy, alumni success and volunteerism in Greater Rochester. At the dinner, Anne Mulcahy, chairman and CEO, Xerox Corporation, will be presented with the Salute to Excellence Award—a Steuben crystal star designed to reflect the recipient’s personal commitment to public higher education, generosity and leadership.

The dinner will also include the induction of four MCC alumni into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame and the presentation of the MCC Foundation’s Salute to Volunteerism award to James J. Ward, vice president, Bausch & Lomb (retired), who has served on the MCC Foundation’s Board of Directors for close to two decades.

Tickets are available ($75 per person for faculty and staff). Event proceeds support student scholarships, faculty enrichment programs, program innovation and the purchase of educational equipment at MCC. For tickets and information, please call the MCC Foundation at x1500. The event will begin with a reception at 5:45 p.m.; dinner and formal program will begin at 6:30 p.m.
