MCC and Jamestown Community College (JCC) have partnered to offer a "Professional Piloting" associates in applied science degree. Students apply for admissions and financial aid through JCC, but can take many of their degree requirements at MCC. Students can also participate in flight training at various locations including the Rochester Air Center, (formerly Bill Law Aviation).
Upon completion of the degree, students will have their private and commercial pilot licence and instrument rating. Students will have accumulated between 220 and 250 hours of flight time with options for additional certifications or transfer to a four year piloting degree program.
Kate Schiefen, associate dean of technical education, will be the Professional Piloting program advisor working with Rick Rupprecht, assistant dean at JCC. Learn more about this program and our partnership at www.sunyjcc.edu!
