Campus Peace Officer Joseph Zarcone Completes Basic Criminal Investigations Course
Campus Peace Officer Joseph Zarcone recently completed the Basic Criminal Investigations Course at the Public Safety Training Facility.
This course is designed to familiarize police officers, and in particular new police investigators, with the process of conducting criminal investigations for the critical task of solving crime. A variety of topics and investigative aspects will be presented by experienced law enforcement officers.
Instrutional areas include Basic Investigative Techniques, Case Notes and Reports, Documentation, Information Gathering Techniques, Investigative Tools and Techniques, Crime Analysis and Crime Patterning, Forensics, Crimes Against Persons and Property, Specialized Investigation Topics, Courtroom Testimony/Case Preparation and Media Relations.
