Three Ways that MCC is Celebrating Student Excellence

This year, MCC is proud to celebrate student excellence in three ways.

The Student Awards Banquet will occur on May 16, 2014 in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Monroe A/B). This event is a celebration of co-curricular awards and organizations on campus. Student Life is organizing this event and special invitations will be sent out in early May. Tickets will be available in May. For any questions about the Student Awards Banquet, please contact Betty Stewart, "mailto:estewart@monroecc.edu", 292-2535.

A new event this year, Academic Services has partnered with the MCC Foundation to host the, Academic Awards Ceremony on May 22, 2014 in the MCC Theatre. This event honors the academic achievements of MCC students and scholarship recipients for the 2013-2014 academic year. Special electronic invites will be sent to student email accounts in early May. Students will be able to celebrate their academic achievements with two other guests at the ceremony and reception. Faculty/staff will be specially invited to this event in March/April. For any questions about the Academic Awards Ceremony, please contact Kristen Love, "mailto:klove8@monroecc.edu", 292-2193.

The traditional academic event, the 38th Annual Honors Convocation will occur on May 29, 2014 in the MCC Theatre. This event recognizes graduating students for their individual exceptional academic achievement.  Students who will be recognized at Honors Convocation will receive an electronic invite in their student email accounts in early May. Students can celebrate their honors achievements with their families and friends at Convocation and a reception afterwards.
