MCC Student Engineers Seek 5th National Title

A dedicated group of computer and engineering science students have been working many late hours this spring preparing for the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Model Design Competition to be held in Atlanta next Monday.  MCC has won the last four consecutive ASEE National Titles and is prepared to be highly competitive for the top honor again this year.  The contest requires students to design and build an autonomous robot that is capable of collecting 12 orange colored golf balls representing ripe Georgia peaches and then depositing them in a peach basket in the center of the track.

The team leaves at 6:20 am on Saturday, June 22nd and they will be posting updates to their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MCCELC during the entire trip.  The Poster Session portion of the competition begins at 8 am on Monday, June 24 and is followed by the Robot Track Trials at 1 pm.  Follow the action and be sure to "Like" us on Facebook as we progress toward a successful outcome.
