Do you have a hankering for a sport that allows you to hurl a weighted ball at ten defenseless pins? What about a desire for free food, including pizza, chips, and soda? Most importantly, how about a willingness to help those who are suffering; the innocent, helpless, and hurting victims of both cancer and Hurricane Katrina?
The MCC Phi Theta Kappa 2005-2006 Officer team is putting together their annual Bowling for Hope tournament to benefit Hope Lodge, a home for cancer patients, and to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. And we are looking for your help!
What: Bowling for Hope
When: Saturday, November 19, 2005 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Where: Olympic Lanes
1350 Scottsville Rd
Rochester, NY 14624
Why: To raise money through bowling, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle to donate to
both Hope Lodge (a home for cancer patients receiving treatments in the Greater
Rochester area) and The Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.
Who: Anyone! Feel free to bowl individually or form teams of four or five with your
friends, family, classmates, or professors. Just be sure to sign up outside the Phi
Theta Kappa office (3-133) or call (585) 292-2567 soon. Deadline to sign up and
turn in your money is November 15, 2005.
Cost: $15.00 per person. Money is due no later than November 15, 2005. This money
provides for 3 (No-Tap) games, shoes, food, and refreshments as well as the opportunity to bid in the silent auction and participate in the 50/50 raffle.
Please remember that this is to aid those who are in desperate need for money, food, shelter, water, and support. The more active we get, the more we help!
