Diverse: Issues in Higher Education Profiles Incoming MCC President Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna

Diverse: Issues in Higher Education published a profile on incoming MCC President Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna. Written by Sarah Wood, the profile provides a glimpse into who inspired Dr. Burt-Nanna to become an educator and her many career accomplishments to date in both private industry and in higher education.

Within the article, Dr. Burt-Nanna is quoted as saying, "Education is a catalyst for changing lives,” she said. “Being able to observe that year after year, hearing about students getting jobs, moving and progressing their careers. It is also a place where once a person is educated, they never are the same and everyone that touches their lives will never be the same. It is the gift that keeps on giving.”

Dr. Burt-Nanna begins serving as MCC's sixth president in May.
