You have probably already noticed that there are a number of new recycling bins distributed throughout the Brighton Campus (and soon to be distributed at the Applied Technologies Center). The lids on these bins are self-explanatory: the thin-slotted bins are for paper, and the bins with the round holes are for recyclable (including returnable) containers. What many people are not aware of, however, is that if one of those bins is contaminated with other material, the entire thing must be rejected from the recycle stream and discarded as trash. Therefore, the Building Services Department and the Green Group ask that you please make your students aware of this, and encourage them to not contaminate the recycle bins. Thank you.
