Be Counted - Voting is Your Right

The Student Government Association has teamed up with TurboVote and the Monroe County Board of Elections to assist students in registering to vote through the TurboVote website. Students can find the TurboVote tile in the myMCC portal, which is available now.

In order to vote in New York in the November 5, 2024 election:

  • you must be registered to vote by October 26, 2024, and
  • you must be 18 years old by November 5, 2024.  

The TurboVote website will provide the following information:

If you are not able to vote in person at the location where you choose to vote, you must request an absentee ballot in advance of the election to cast your vote.   

I want to vote at my home address (in New York):  

  1. Check your current voter registration.
  2. Make sure you are registered to vote at your home address by October 26, 2024.
  3. Make a travel plan to vote in person on election day November 5, 2024.  

Or 

You can request an absentee ballot so that your request will arrive 10 days before the election.

I want to vote at my college address:   

  1. Check your current voter registration.
  2. Make sure you are registered to vote at your college address by October 26, 2024.
  3. You can check your polling place.
