STEP Welcomes 38 Students for Saturdays at the College Program

On Saturday, February 8th, the Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) welcomed 38 middle and high school students to campus for our Saturdays at the College program. Students engaged in interactive stations led by members of the Robotics and Physics Clubs and their faculty mentors. From the hands-on physics demonstrations to test-driving robotics cars, our students explored how campus clubs can enhance their college experience.

A special thank you to the student members and Professors David Pultorak and Burton Betchart from the Robotics and Physics Clubs for your time, dedication, and knowledge in making the day a great success.

STEP is funded by a New York State Education Department grant with the goal of increasing the number of historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who are prepared to enter college, while also improving their participation rate in mathematics, science, technology, health-related fields, and licensed professions.
