MCC Honors Student Arabella Hartino Wins the 2024 Norton Writers Prize
The college would like to wish a heartfelt congratulations to MCC Honors Student Arabella Hartino! A panel of judges for the 2024 Norton Writers Prize has selected Arabella's essay for first place for original nonfiction written by a 2-year college student.
Arabella's literary analysis entitled “Objects in Mirrors Are Closer Than They Appear: An Analysis of Works Containing Warped Character Reflections, but Accurate Societal Windows” was nominated by Professor Elizabeth Johnston after Arabella submitted it in her Modern British Literature course (ENG 202), Spring 2024.
The Norton Writers Prize is a highly competitive national contest. Winners of the Norton Writer’s Prize receive $1,000 each and publication on the Norton website.
