MCC is co-hosting with Onondaga CC, Syracuse University, and Broome CC the 2012 Two-Year College Association Northeast Conference (TYCA-NE). It will be held in Syracuse on October 25-27, 2012.
The conference will address teaching practices within a global setting. Dr. Anne Kress provided the title for it: "From the World Desk: Situating Our Practice Within a Global Context." Provost McDonough and Dean of Liberal Arts Kristen Fragnoli, provided the financial support for it. An English Department Conference Program Committee co-chaired by Stasia Callan, Jessica Wilkie, and Scott Rudd is working on the program logistics.
You are invited to submit a presentation proposal. Global issues in education are cross-disciplinary. Don't hesitate to submit a proposal that will feature your classroom practices, new initiatives, or research. The details for submission are provided on the attached CFP trifold. For more information contact Stasia Callan: scallan@monroecc.edu; ext. 3370.
