Ferry Safety Training
Planning a ferry ride this summer? When you do, know that you’ll be in safe hands. The employees have been trained at the MCC Public Safety Training Center! In a joint effort between the California Maritime Academy and PSTC, 92 employees of the ferry were trained this past spring at the PSTC on Scottsville Road in a 40-hour class on CPR, first aid, firefighting and survival training. PSTC instructors taught the CPR and hands-on work with the crew on firefighting. The Seafarers’ Training, Certification and Watchkeeping Code – certified by the US Coast Guard – will be taught regularly to new employees of the Breeze. James Harrington | |
