M. McBride Appointed Director of Library Services

I am very pleased to announce that Mark McBride has been appointed to the position of Director, Library Services.  He brings enthusiasm and leadership skills to manage MCC’s LeRoy V. Good (LVG) Library and the Damon City Campus (DCC) Learning Commons.

Mark most recently served as Coordinator of Library Instruction for the E.H. Butler Library at SUNY Buffalo State where he administered a robust library instruction program.  Mark has represented all 64 libraries within SUNY on the Faculty Advisory Council for Teaching and Technology (FACT2 – an advisory group to the SUNY Provost’s Office) and served as Chair of the SUNY Library Association Task Force on Information Literacy Assessment.  Mark has teaching experience at both Alfred University and SUNY Buffalo State.  Mark’s background as a librarian, his working knowledge of SUNY and library systems, and his familiarity with establishing the Butler Library’s Information Commons will be valuable experience as the College moves to build its own Learning Commons included in the College Facilities Master Plan.  Please join me in welcoming Mark to the MCC community!
