MCC Hosts Annual Sustainability Coordinators Meeting

On November 13, Valarie Avalone, Director of Institutional Planning/MCC Sustainability Steering Committee chair and member of the conference planning committee, welcomed the Sustainability Coordinators meeting participants at MCC's Downtown Campus.

This was the kickoff meeting for the 2019 State of New York Sustainability Conference, and was attended by representatives of approximately 35 institutions from around New York State, SUNY system, NYSERDA (NYS Energy Research & Development Authority), and DASNY (Dormitory Authority of the State of NY). The conference sessions were held at RIT on November 14 and 15.

Following the coordinators meeting, a tour of the campus emphasizing the sustainability features of the LEED gold building was conducted by Executive Dean Joel Frater and Blaine Grindle, Associate VP of Facilities.
