Student Services Fall Student Development Presentations
Student Services is pleased to announce two fall presentations that focus on student development:
I: WHO ARE OUR STUDENTS
This presentation and discussion will look at the demographic overview of the 2019 MCC student body. In addition to reviewing the make-up of the student body, this presentation will provide information on the non-academic resources available to students. The event will include a discussion on successful practices employed by faculty and staff members to empower students and increase persistence.
Tuesday, October 22: 12 noon to 1 pm (Brighton TBA)
Wednesday, October 23: 12:00 noon to 1 pm (Downtown TBA)
II: ENCOURAGING STUDENT SUCCESS THROUGH A RELATIONSHIP-CENTRIC CAMPUS CULTURE
The SUNY SAIL Institute (SUNY's training center) has recently promoted the impact of community and a sense of belonging to increase student retention and graduation rates. This interactive program will explore ways faculty and staff can increase student connectivity and a sense of belonging to MCC and to each other.
Monday, November 4: 12 noon to 1:00 pm (Brighton TBA)
Friday, November 8: 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm (Downtown TBA)
