Robert Novak, thirty-three year head of Optical Systems Technology at MCC, was named Honorary Member of the Optical Society of America at its annual dinner on Tuesday evening.
Bob was recognized for his over thirty-seven years of educational contributions to the Optics community, and to the Rochester section of the OSA, which is the founding chapter of the organization.
His presenters of the award included past graduates of the MCC Optical Technology program, who now own and operate their own Optics companies, and have made the Rochester top 100 list!
Bob will be retiring from teaching at the end of June and will no doubt devote most of his time to playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife Linda.
