DCC Proactive on No-Smoking Policy

MCC’s Tobacco Free policy went into effect in September 2014 with full compliance on January 1, 2015.  Monroe Community College is committed to providing and maintaining a tobacco-free learning and working environment that is healthy, respectful, and safe for students, faculty, and staff.  At the Damon City Campus we have partnered with Winn Corp. owners of the Sibley Building; US Securities, building security staff; MCC Public Safety; and Buckingham Properties owner of the St. Joseph’s garage to adhere to the Tobacco Free policy on our campus as well.  We are looking for your assistance to keep all Sibley Building entrances clear of smoking. The St. Joseph’s Garage has posted signs on the first floor entrance from the shuttle loop gate into the garage and third floor of the parking garage indicating no smoking.  An area outside of the garage gate entrance has been designated for smokers to smoke.  All personnel from each of these departments are authorized to ask students, staff, faculty, and visitors to adhere to the signs. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
