On Wednesday, Dec.4, the college's local chapter for American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) held its annual winter luncheon. Members celebrated the organization's 30-year anniversary and our local chapter's 11th anniversary.
Marie Fetzner, ETS/Banner project manager and AAWCC Region II director, thanked everyone for their support and shared initiatives and news from National. Valarie Avalone, planning coordinator and AAWCC president, spoke of our local chapter accomplishments, our newly formed Service Committee and future activities/programs planned for the coming year. She also thanked everyone for their support and dedication.
Everyone enjoyed the festive decorations, a delicious buffet and visiting with colleagues. Thanks to Dolores Pasto-Ziobro, internal auditor and AAWCC Program Committee chair, and committee members Betty Smith and Patricia Ornt (both from Counseling and Advising Center) for making this year's annual winter luncheon a great success.
