Please join us at a web conference from Academic Impressions' entitled "Survey of Online Student Service Programs," on Thursday, October 12th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in room 3-115. This survey reviews effective online models that various institutions have adopted across five student services: advising, orientation, career services, tutoring, and personal counseling. The presentation draws examples of several approaches to each of these services, including: discussion boards, chats, VoIP, instant messaging, text messaging, RightNow, blogs, wikis, podcasts, cohorts, and listservs. The presenter is Landon Pirius, Director of Enrollement Services for Inver Hills Community College, who is actively involved in shifting traditional, campus-based student services online.
