This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Little Rock Crisis of 1957.

In 1957 nine African-American students were sent to Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. They were the first African-Americans to attend this all white school. The protest and resistance they faced is one of the seminal events of the Civil Rights Movement in America.

History Professor, Mark Sample, will tell the story of the people & the events surrounding this important part of American history.

This talk will be Wednesday December 6, from Noon- 12:50 in 5-100.

This event is open to the MCC community & the general public.
