On Location Study in China - Summer 2007

It's not too early to plan for the Summer of 2007! The ESOL and Foreign Languages Department at MCC invites you to enjoy a wonderful on location study opportunity in China to learn about the richness of the history and culture of the world's most populous nation. It's the trip of a lifetime!

An unforgettable 12-day visit to Beijing, Balading, Xi'an, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Highlights and itinerary:

· May 24 to June 4, 2007 
· Round-trip airfare
· 9 overnight stays at hotels with private bathroom
· 3 meals daily
· Full-time bilingual tour director
· In-depth sightseeing and entrance fees to special attractions
· Some of the places we'll visit: Summer Palace, Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square in Beijing; Badaling and the Great Wall of China; the Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum and the Terra Cotta Warriors of Xi'an; the Jade Buddah Temple, the Yu Yuan Garden and the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai; Victoria Peak, Aberdeen Harbor and the Stanley Market in Hong Kong.

Participants in this tour must register in CHI 221 - Chinese Culture on Location (for credit or audit) in the Spring Semester 2007.

Price includes taxes and departure fees. Single rooms are available for an additional fee.
Participants younger than 25 receive a reduction of $365 with accommodation in triple rooms.
Comprehensive insurance coverage (medical, trip cancellation, baggage loss) available for $115.
