I am happy to inform you that DCC is getting a much needed carpet and paint face lift, so please be prepared to excuse the mess!
Carpet installation began on Monday on the 5th Floor in the area extending out from the lobby and express elevators to include the front of the restrooms 5131 and 5132, the MDF room (5136) and end at the lounge. Work is expected to be completed on/about Thursday, Jan. 12. This should have minimal impact on your daily routines.
Once the 5th Floor is complete, the installers will begin work on the 4th Floor lounge and surrounding areas. Access to the 4th Floor via the main entrance will be available on Thursday and on Wednesday, Jan. 18, to minimize disruption to the student orientation program.
On Friday, Jan. 13, Tuesday, Jan. 17, and Thursday, Jan. 19 please access the 4th Floor via the Library, which will include a security check point. The Bookstore, Fitness Center and Advisement Center will be accessible via the back entrances; the multi-purpose room will be accessible via the atrium.
While I understand this project is an inconvenience, I believe you and our students will be pleased with the final results. Thank you.
