The MCC Wellness Council thanks everyone who stopped by on National Walking Day to pick up a copy of the Couch to 5K and MCC Walking Maps booklet. This year, the MCC Couch to 5K Program is independent – there are no scheduled sessions. Instead, we are encouraging you to buddy up with a friend, group, or just put your earphones in and walk/run at your own pace when you can. The Wellness Council collaborated with Excellus for Walk-to-Run guidelines and the American Heart Association who produced maps for a booklet that includes a monthly tracking/charting log.
If you missed picking up a booklet, you can print one out from the MCC Workplace Wellness Resources page on myMCC (also attached for your convenience) or email us and we will send you one!
If you can’t find someone to buddy up with and don’t want to walk alone, please contact the Wellness Council and we will connect you with groups/teams we know. We want to hear from you if you would be interested in using a blog for employees to check and/or post what’s happening daily and get involved. We will start one if there is enough interest!
