Save the Date! Next Essential Discussions:Conversations at MCC - March 7, 2018

Mark your calendars and share the news with your colleagues!

The next in our series of Essential Discussions: Conversations at Monroe Community College will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Warshof Conference Center, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center.

Our topic will be "Beyond Academics: Supporting Holistic Student Readiness." Learn how current research proves academic skill and content-area knowledge alone do not define college readiness. Research shows how non-cognitive factors such as attitude, behavior, grit, and personal environment also have a direct and crucial relationship with educational outcomes.

Featured keynote speakers are Tristan Denley, Ph.D., chief academic officer and executive vice chancellor of academic affairs, University System of Georgia; and Ms. Jacquie Beaubien, senior program manager, Project for Education Research the Scales (PERTS), Stanford University.

More details, including keynote presentation topics, panelists and online registration, will be available soon.

We hope you will plan to join us for this essential discussion.
