Every year the Rochester Jamaican Organization awards two local high school students with a scholarship for higher education. On Friday, July 22, Rochester Early College International High School graduates Diana Brown, Daneisha Samuels, and Davian Walters were all honored the Deloris Asynthia Lewis Scholarship, the Niko Mundy Jr. Memorial Scholarship, and the MCC Foundation Scholarship respectively, marking the first year three scholarships were awarded. Diana will be attending Roberts Wesleyan College; Daneisha will be attending Brockport; and Davian will be attending MCC in the fall. MCC Upward Bound facilitated these students during their application process, and we are excited to see that their hard work has paid off.
