Open Enrollment - Health Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts and 403(b) Supplemental Retirement Accounts

It’s that time of year again when you can make changes to your health insurance.  Please take time to review the attached health insurance rate sheets.  You may decide to make a plan change based on the 2009 rates.  A new form must be completed if you move to a different health plan.  Health Plan Comparison documents are available in the Human Resources Office.

Flexible Spending Accounts
A Flexible Spending Account allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars for out of pocket costs related to health, dental, vision, dependent care, parking and transit expenses.  You must complete a form to set up a Flexible Spending Account.

403(b) Supplemental Retirement Accounts
A 403(b) Supplemental Retirement Account is a pre-tax retirement savings program.  This type of account allows you to defer paying federal taxes on the savings you set aside until you retire.  Please read the attached document for further information on 403(b) Supplemental Retirement Accounts.  403(b) Plan Provider contact information is also available through the attached link.

Enrollment forms are available for all of the above mentioned benefits through the attached links, online and in the Human Resources Office.  All forms are due back to Human Resources no later than December 1, 2008.
