Poetry reading

Elizabeth Johnston Ambrose (English & Philosophy), Author of Wild Things from Main Street Rag and Imago Dei, winner of the 2021, Rattle Chapbook Prize. will read from her newest poetry manuscript along with award-winning poets:

  • Jamaica Baldwin, Author of Bone Language, published by YesYes Books. Recipient of a 2023 Pushcart Prize, and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship
  • Nancy Miller Gomez, Author of Inconsolable Objects published by YesYes Books and Punishment, a Rattle Chapbook selection, and
  • Leonora Simonovis, Author of Study of the Raft, selected by Sherwin Bitsui as the winner of the 2021 Colorado Prize for Poetry

Friday, August 30, at 7 pm at Before Your Quiet Eyes Bookstore, 439 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY. 

All are encouraged to attend for an evening of poetry and discussion.
