AAWCC Clothing Drive Starts Today


Beginning today and ending Friday, March 4, the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWC) will be conducting their 2nd Annual Clothing Drive to help YWCA’s “Renewing Women—Rebuilding Lives” program.

If you’re standing in front of your closet every morning, weeding through your wardrobe and still reach for the same outfits each and every day, you need to donate!

Just:

Follow these 3 easy steps; 1) Make sure the clothing is clean, 2) Bring on hangers, if possible) and 3) Donations are accepted ONLY the week of February 28-March 4.

Please drop off your professional clothing and accessories during the week of February 28-March 4 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. at one of the following locations:

        Brighton Campus- Academic Services Suite 3-111b and Counseling and Advising Center 1-231.
        Damon City Campus – 4th and 5th Floor Atrium
        Applied Tech Center – Building 23-158 (Kristy Mooney-Graves)
        Public Safety Training Facility – See Teresa Schichler

Donations may also include non-clothing items such as new/unopened cosmetics and toiletries; accessories such as purses, pins and scarves; and cash donations.  Checks are to be written to the YWCA and given to one of the following volunteers:

        Char Downing, 1-311B
        Kelley Bennett, 1-231
        Nancy Wilson, 1-308
        Sherry Parks, 1-308

Your donation is tax deductible and receipts are available.

Members of the AAWCC Service Committee and member of the YWCA “thank you” for your donations.
