The Geosciences Association Encourages You to E-Recycle!

The Geosciences Association of MCC invites you to e-recycle your old electronics noon to 7 p.m., Friday, May 8, at the Brighton Campus, Lot M-1. Enjoy our convenient drive-thru service!

To avoid contaminating local landfills, the community is encouraged to recycle batteries, cameras, printers and ink cartridges, cell phones, computers and electronic equipment at no charge; computer monitors and televisions will require $5 and $10 recycling fees respectively (charged by e-recycling partner, Maven Technologies, LLC).

Proceeds support geosciences-related field trips and guest lecturers to benefit students at MCC. This year’s goal is to raise enough funds for students to experience Yellowstone National Park. Donations are welcome!

The Geosciences Association is a student organization dedicated to earth sciences education and service. Through weekly meetings, field trips and community service, association members further their knowledge and the ideas and aims of the geosciences.

For a listing of acceptable items for recycling, click on this link <https://www.maventech.com/events/acceptable_items.pdf>  or call the MCC Chemistry and Geosciences Department at x2425.
